Four Treatment Measures For Acute PID

The female reproductive system has a natural defense mechanism against pathogens. Under normal circumstances, it can resist the invasion of harmful bacteria. But when the body's resistance is reduced, or the female's natural defense is destroyed due to some reasons, the PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) will occur.

PID (Pelvic inflammatory disease) refers to the inflammation of the female reproductive organs, connective tissue around the uterus, and the pelvic peritoneum. So, what are the symptoms of acute pelvic inflammatory disease?

The symptoms are usually lower abdominal pain, fever, increased vaginal discharge, abdominal pain, and it is aggravated after activity or sexual intercourse. If the condition is serious, there may be chills, high fever, headache, and loss of appetite.

During the menstrual period, there could be incidence of increased menstrual flow, menstrual prolongation if one has pelvic inflammatory disease, and the pelvic abscess can cause local compression symptoms, such as compression of the bladder can lead to frequent urination, or dysuria. Pressing the rectum can cause rectal symptoms such as urinary frequency and urgency. Further development of acute pelvic inflammatory disease include symptoms of diffuse peritonitis, sepsis, septic shock, and severe cases can be life-threatening.

Four major treatments are usually used clinically:

1. Drug therapy.

Antibiotics are the main prescription for acute pelvic inflammatory disease, including intravenous infusion, intramuscular injection or oral administration. Broad-spectrum antibiotics should be used in combination with anti-anaerobic drugs, and adequate treatment is required. And sometimes they can be combined with TCM treatment, in order to achieve better results.

2. Surgical treatment.

There are lumps visible when one has hydrosalpinx or fallopian tube ovarian cysts which are feasible for surgical treatment. When there are mild infections as the cause of inflammation, it is also suitable for surgery choice. Surgery is based on the principle of fundamental solution, to avoid the chance of recurrence of residual lesions, and to perform an attachment resection or salpingectomy. Young women should try to retain ovarian function.

3. Physical therapy.

Warm benign stimulation promotes local blood circulation in the pelvis. Improve the nutritional status of the tissue and increase metabolism for the absorption and regression of inflammation. Commonly used are short wave, ultra-short wave, ion penetration (can be added to various drugs such as penicillin, streptomycin, etc.), and wax therapy.

4. Psychotherapy.

Psychological treatment resolve the patient's ideological concerns, and enhances the confidence of patients. However, it is easy for PID to relapse. When acute pelvic inflammatory disease is not completely cured, the course of the disease is prolonged and it develops into chronic pelvic inflammatory disease. Then it will be more complex.

Therefore, our suggestion is that we can choose natural therapy such as Fuyan Pill according to the patient's physical condition, it will effectively cure the patient's symptoms without side effects. Fuyan Pill is made of of more than 50 kinds of natural herbs such as bupleurum, poria, astragalus, wolfberry, atractylodes, yam, atractylodes, angelica, peach kernel and safflower, etc.

Angelica and safflower supplement blood and promote blood circulation, relieve pain and clear up phlegm, and can dispell symptoms such as lower abdominal pain and fever.
