The agent of male infertility caused by prostatitis:

Clinically, 80 percent of the diseases of necrospermia is caused by prostatitis, usually affiliated with inflammation of spermatic duct. Due to the infection of inflammatory diseases, by which nutrient substance and trace element that sperms depend on will be consumed, or the PH value change, or anti-sperm antibody be produced, all these could destroy the survivable environment of sperms and cause them to death. Therefore, to heal necrospermia well, it is necessary to cure prostatitis, vesiculitis and inflammation of spermatic duct first.

(1) Non-liquefaction of semen

Prostatic fluid secreted by prostate is a significant composition of semen, almost accounting for 30 percent of the gross amount. Being infected with prostatitis, it might influence the quantity and composition of semen both, induce decreasing of secretory volume of prostatic fluid, disturb the survival and activity of sperms, and finally cause low survival rate and weak vitality of sperms. It will further induce non-liquefaction of semen, precipitate the production of anti-sperm antibody, and eventually cause the death of sperms and then male infertility.

(2) Necrospermia

Some patients who suffering from necrospermia clinically present the symptoms of prostatitis, orchitis, or vesiculitis, etc; some have no obvious clinical manifestations; and others are accompanied with seminal emission and premature ejaculation, or hypoactive sexual desire disorder. Taking semen analysis is the very method to prove it.

Necrospermia refers to the case that the sperms are founded being dead entirely in several sequent semen analysis. Under normal conditions, 70 percent of the sperms should be active in an hour after they have been discharged from the body, whereas it would perniciously influence on the form of fertilized egg. Usually, the survival time of the sperms should be kept for six hours or so, and the survival rate should be above 20 percentage points. Otherwise, it will induce male infertility.

(3) Excessive spermatic aberration

If the quantity of aberrant sperms reaches above 20 percent in total, it is called excessive spermatic aberration.

(4) Weak vitality of sperms

The vitality of the sperms is directly connected with the quantity of fruit sugar in seminal vesicle. As the quantity of fruit sugar is decreasing, the death rate of sperms would increase accordingly due to nutrition deficiency. In addition, the deficiency of vitamin A and vitamin E also would be contributed to the vitality of sperms. The disease of weak vitality of sperms usually is accompanied with the problem of seminal quality, such as low-liquefaction of semen, etc.

(5) Azoospermia due to tubal blockage

First, prostatitis might cause edema of ejaculatory duct which under compression could induce obstructive azoospermia, and epididymitis might cause edema of spermatic duct, or even spermatic duct obstruction and atrophy of parenchyma of adjacent testis with the manifestations of oligospermaticm or azoosprermia that would eventually induce male infertility.

Secondly, respecting the blockage of spermatic duct caused by prostatitis, vesiculitis and epididymitis, it also could cause azoospermia and then male infertility.
Thirdly, azoospermia will emerge for testes cannot produce sperms. It could be induced by three ways: infections of variety of bacteria, such as coccobacteria, bacillus, microbe of disease source, mycoplasma and chlamydia, etc, which might influence the development of spermatogenous cells; influence of toxin produced by infections; orchitis that caused by the spreading of epidemic parotitis virus, through blood and lymph, due to untimely and ineffective treatments for parotitis.
Traditional Chinese medicine can make a promise to cure prostatitis as well as male infertility at equal pace.

Traditional Chinese medicine can turn chlamydi trachomatis(CT), mycoplasma urealytium(UU) and mycoplasma hominis(MH) to negative and heal well prostatitis, vesiculitis, inflammation of spermatic duct, epididymitis and orchitis. Thereby, at the same time, it can also cure non-liquefaction of semen, necrospermia and azoospermai due to tubal blockage, which are caused by the diseases mentioned above. The curative effects have been justified clinically.

In curing orchitis and chronic gonococcal or non-gonococcal prostatitis, Chinese herbal medical has obvious therapeutic effects that it can kill bacteria and gonococcus, turn non-gonococcus to negative and restore corpuscles of lecithin to normal level in 2 to 4 months. For some patients under severe conditions, it should take a quite constant treatment for 4 to 6 months to cure it thoroughly and to prevent it recurring.
