UU Infection Causes Female Intertility, Premature Birth and Fetal Death

Ureaplasma Urealyticum can infect male and female genital system. There are 80% of gravidae have M.urealyticum in their genital tract, M.urealyticum can infect the fetus and lead to premature birth, fetal death, and infertility.

Ureaplasma Urealyticum transmis through sexual intercourses. UU infection often occur after having dirty intercourses. As the UU infect genital tract and causes a inflammation. Ureaplasma Urealyticum can cause urethritis, cervicitis, and bartholinitis when it infect urinary tract, cervix uteri, and bartholin''s gland. The infection can spread to the womb, fallopian tubes, and the whole pelvic cavity. UU infection can causes infertility. In some of the aborted tissue, Ureaplasma Urealyticum can be found. So, it is suggested that UU culture should be taken in cases of obscure abortions. Inflammation caused by UU infection can block the fallopian tubes, and ectopic pregnancy occurs.

When an woman is pregnant, the Ureaplasma Urealyticum can spread through the placenta or transmit through genital tract. Then inflammation in the womb occurs. These inflammation can lead to abortion, premature birth, IUGR, premature rupture of membrane, and even fetal death.

As a result, for the women who have an UU infection, it is suggest that they have their UU infection cured before they plan to have a baby.
