Tubal infertility accounts for about 1/3 of female infertility. As the reasons for tubal problems are increasingly diversified, it becomes more and more difficult to cure the disease. In addition, for patients with tubal infertility, there exist many misconceptions, delaying the best treatment time. And this is also a factor to be reckoned with.

Misunderstanding 1: Confuse the fallopian tube obstruction with anovulation

Fallopian tubes and ovaries are close to each other. However, they cannot be confused.

Fallopian tube is the pipelines to gather egg and sperm and transport fertilized egg. The most important function of fallopian tube is to periodically transport eggs discharged from the ovary to the uterus cavity.

And the ovary is located below the fallopian tubes. In addition to secrete female hormones, it mainly produces eggs. When the fallopian tube is blocked, the ovary ovulates normally. The ovulation has no necessary links with the fallopian tube problems.

Misunderstanding 2: Regard IVF as a panacea

IVF is the last but not best treatment of fallopian tube obstruction.

IVF is applicable to patients with fallopian tube obstruction, endometriosis, serious ovulatory obstacles and other conditions. Besides, IVF costs a lot of money, and sometimes it causes unexpected adverse reactions and great pain to the mother. What's worse, it is difficult to ensure a one-time success with IVF. For these reasons, for tubal infertility, patients are recommended to be treated by medication first.

Misunderstanding 3: Abuse drugs

No matter what's the reason for fallopian tube obstruction, anti-inflammatory drugs or medications to activate blood circulation are used. However, this is incorrect. For tubal diseases caused by inflammation, such kind of drugs as Fuyan Pill can indeed work well. But for diseases caused by some other reasons, surgery is the most effective treatment. Meanwhile, after the treatment, patients should take some anti-inflammatory drugs to consolidate the curative effect.

Misunderstanding 4: Value the treatment but ignore the prevention

Many patients attach great importance to the treatment. However, they paid little attention to the prevention. Take the abortion for an example.

Abortion is a universal phenomenon. A majority of young people neglect the contraception, causing multiple miscarriages. Little of they know that there are a lot of complications of abortion, and the most serious effects are infertility, habitual abortion and ectopic pregnancy. And the principle is as follows: due to the drug stimulating during abortion, the uterine contracts, making the uterine contents not only moves to the cervix, but also to the fallopian tubes. And the tissues which enter the fallopian tube retain, causing fallopian tube blockage.
