The epididymis is a series of small tubes attached to the back of each testicle that collects and stores sperm. Symptoms of epididymitis can include slight fever, chills, sensitivity or a heavy feeling in the affected testicle, an enlarged testicle, discharge from the penis or pain in the abdomen or pelvis. Treatment options for epididymitis include antibiotics and herbal medicine. If epididymitis is left untreated, it can cause many complications. Chronic epididymitis is one of the common complications.

What are the complications of epididymitis?

1. Spread of infection - the infection can spread from the scrotum to any other structure or system of the body.
2. Chronic epididymitis - persistent inflammation, even when there is no bacterial infection.
3. Destruction of the epididymis - the inflammation can permanently damage or even destroy the epididymis and testicle. This can lead to infertility.
4. Abscess - a ball of pus can accumulate inside the epididymis or nearby structures. Surgery is needed to drain the pus.

Some men can develop chronic epididymitis, which is inflammation even when there is no infection. Chronic epididymitis can cause more painful symptoms. Thus, men should treat epididymitis soon if you think you have suffered epididymitis.

Herbal medicine could be a better remedy for chronic epididymitis. Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill as a herbal medicine for epididymitis has cured many sufferers successfully. This herbal medicine is safe and doesn’t have any drug resistance.
