Chlamydia Could be One of Them - Cause of Prostatitis

The prostate is a gland of the reproductive system in males. Inflammation of the prostate is called prostatitis. Prostatitis includes bacterial prostatitis and non-bacterial prostatitis, further more; the bacterial prostatitis is divided into acute bacterial prostatitis and chronic bacterial prostatitis. But, what are the causes for prostatitis?

Causes of acute bacterial prostatitis:
- Inflammation of the urethra. Urinary system gets inflammation and urine refluxes to prostate and anterior urethra, then uplink to prostate.

- Inflammation of blood. This is the secondary inflammation of skin, tonsil, teeth, intestinal tract or acute respiratory tract infection, which lead to prostatitis by acute infectious bacteriaemia.

- Inflammation of lymph. Inflammation of nearby organs causes prostatitis through the lymphatic, such as uropathy caused by rectal colon.

Causes of chronic bacterial prostatitis:
The cause of chronic bacterial prostatitis is also for the incursion of bacteria and various microorganisms, such as bacteria, protozoa, mould, virus, pathogen, mycoplasma, chlamydia, etc, all of these could infect the prostate.

Causes of non-bacterial prostatitis:
Unclean sexual life, frequently sexual life, masturbation, or even the sedentariness and long standing, all these habits cause the blockage of Qi and blood to the prostate. Besides, improper massage for prostate is also leading to chronic hyperemia and edema of the prostate, deposition of prostate liquid, and then causes chronic prostatitis.

In addition, Chinese medicine theory proposed that one of the causes of prostatitis is weak body resistance; the other one is doughty infection. Further more, urine stimulation, yu gas, and factors of self-immune system could also cause prostatitis.
