chlamydia sometimes is a silent killer. When a man is infected by chlamydia, within several months or even a year, her body may not show anything special. But if it is a woman, chlamydia will not show mercy to her. Damage to women's generative organs will not stop if they are infected by chlamydia. For female chlamydia patients, infection usually occurs in cervix, and then stretches to uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries. Without appropriate treatment, the disease can turn to severe pelvic inflammatory disease, which indirectly causes blocked fallopian tubes. Thus, infertility is a serious consequence.

Another harmful consequence of pelvic inflammatory disease is extrauterine pregnancy. When fallopian tubes blocked, the fertilized egg can not reach uterine cavity. So, it can only be implanted in oviduct and grow there. As we know that extrauterine pregnancy is dangerous indeed, if emergency operation is not available, chlamydia is prone to threaten the fetus. As a matter of fact, pregnant woman who has chlamydia infection gets a higher risk of abortion than others. In addition, in birth process, chlamydia can infect the baby as well, which brings about conjunctivitis or pneumonia.

Anyone who has sex life is able to be infected with chlamydia. As one of the most common sexual transmitted disease, chlamydia does not prefer specific populations. If you have more than one sexual parter or start a new partnership with three to six months, and do not take protective measures ( condom, diaphragm, cervical cap ), you may be listed in the group of people at high risk. Moreover, people who have had other sexual transmitted diseases or genital herpes can also be infected with chlamydia. It is a fact that chlamydia is not only transmitted through vaginal intercourse, but also anal sex.

Why chlamydia is so secret? Because it shows no particularly symptoms of erythema. Often symptoms are ordinary, which is easily confused with other diseases. What's more, symptoms will not be found in about eighty percents of chlamydia infection women. Therefore, Dr.Lee suggest that chlamydia infection test should be added in programs of women's annual routine health check. Especially for pregnant women. People who have multiple sexual partners should have more checks.

Chlamydia infection symptoms in women:
1. Yellow secretion or blooddrops discharge from vagina when the patient is in
period.
2. Pain or burn feeling occurs when patients urinate; frequent urine.
3. Menostaxis, increased menstrual flow, severer pain
4. Pain and burning in lower abdomen

Usually, antibiotic is effective to treat chlamydia infection. However, pregnant women and patients with unknown sensitivity to the drug are often treated with erythrocin. Or else, if patients can not be cured after long-term taking medicines, traditional Chinese medicine is another choice, because traditional Chinese medicine does well in treating stubborn infectious diseases. But please remember to take the pill as the doctor suggested. Though symptoms disappear, regular countercheck is needed. Besides, patients' mates should also have chlamydia check done in order to prevent from aleopation.
