Dysmenorrhea is likely to be the symptom of endometriosis

Many young ladies suffer from dysmenorrhea in the period every month. However, people usually take it for granted that dysmenorrhea is a normal physiological phenomenon. Ladies do not take it so serious that they only take painkiller at most. Some parents tell their daughter that dysmenorrhea can disappear after marriage. What they do not know is that dysmenorrhea is likely to be the symptom of endometriosis, moreover, endometriosis is the cause of infertility.

Recently, the number of patients who suffer from endometriosis is increasing, which has already arise the concerns from obstetrics and gynecology workers at home and abroad. Generally speaking, blood reflux is the main cause of endometriosis. In the period, a part of the blood stream back to the fallopian tube from the uterine cavity, pass the fimbria to the pelvic, abdominal, or peritoneal surface, and continue to grow, then finally comes to endometriosis. It is found that, women who got menarche at a young age, the blood reflux occurs earlier, menstrual cycle is shorter, the period last for long, then the reflux of blood increase. These all can cause more blood in period and endometrial fragments reach the basin, which induces endometriosis.

Dysmenorrhea is the primary symptom of the endometriosis. After analyzing the nosogeny of dysmenorrhea, we find that in the blood and the shedding of the endometrium in the period, there's high concentrations of prostaglandin. Prostaglandin can strong contract uterine smooth muscle, as a result, dysmenorrhea happens and blood flows back. Women with infertility caused by endometriosis whose condition of the dysmenorrhea become server, the possibility of the endometriosis increases.

Therefore, the opinion that dysmenorrhea is a normal physiological phenomenon should be abandoned. Ladies who suffer with dysmenorrhea should go to the doctor as soon as possible so as to prevent infertility caused by endometriosis.
