Painful bladder syndrome (PBS) is defined as a group of symptoms that include bladder pain and a frequent and/or urgent need to urinate during the day and/or night. Interstitial cystitis (IC) is used to describe people who have symptoms of PBS, as well as changes in the bladder lining (seen during cystoscopy)

Painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis(PBS/IC) include mild to severe bladder pain and an urgent and/or frequent need to urinate. The disorder is more common in women but is can affect both women and men. It can be difficult to diagnose and treat because the underlying cause is not well understood.

There are several matters may lead to the symptoms of PBS/IC, such as:
-Urinary tract infection
-Bladder, pelvic, back, or other type of surgery
-An episode of vaginitis or prostatitis (eg, an infection of the vagina or a -bacterial infection of the prostate)
-Trauma

However, in many people, there is no clear explanation for why or how the symptoms of PBS/ICfirst began.

Symptoms of IC/BPS include:
-Feeling like you need to urinate right away (urgency), often (frequency), or both. Most people urinate between 4 and 7 times a day. Yet with IC/BPS, the bladder may hold less urine. People with severe IC/BPS urinate as often as 30 times a day.
-Pain or discomfort believed to be related to the bladder, which often gets worse as the bladder fills.
-Pain, pressure, or tenderness in the pelvic area and/or genitals.
-Pain during sexual intercourse, or pain during ejaculation for men.
-Ulcers and/or bleeding in the bladder.

Women's symptoms often get worse during their menstrual periods. Some people with IC/BPS feel only mild discomfort. Others have severe pain and symptoms. The symptoms of IC/BPS vary from person to person and can change over time.

Doctors have not yet found a cure for IC/BPS. They cannot predict who will respond best to the different treatment options.

Sometimes, symptoms may go away after a change in diet or treatment. Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill which is made of herbs has effects of treatting Painful bladder syndrome/interstitial cystitis (PBS/IC). It has the effect of eliminating the urinary symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency, dysuria, nocturia, hematuria, suprapubic pain, and perineal bulge, the capacity of bladder will be resumed at last. Patients can feel improvements within one month. After three months treatment, test will show normal.
