There are over 30% of infertility patients suffr from a
salpingitis. Salpinges are bend tubes which transfer eggs, which is connecting on the both side of the uterus. It's length is 10-12 cm. The healthy phenomenon in salpinges support the egg can be fertilized. It can be classified as acute salpingitis and chronic salpingitis according to the caurse of disease.
Salpingitis can be also classified as tuberculous
salpingitis, gonococcal infective salpingitis, and purulent
salpingitis.
Tuberculous salpingitis often occur as a secondary disease of phthisis and tuberculosis of peritoneum. As the tubercle bacillus infect the fallopian tubes, the lesion can develop at the fimbrial end.

Purulent salpingitis is a result of infection in abortion and puerperal infection. Pathogen include staphylococcus, streptococcus, E.Coli, and pseudomonas aeruginosa. The infection can also
cause hydrosalpinx.
