Common symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia include the following:

· Blood in the urine(i.e., hematuria), caused by straining to void
· Dribbling after voiding
· Feeling that the bladder has not emptied completely after urination

· Frequent urination, particularly at night (i.e., nocturia)
· Hesitant, interrupted, or weak urine stream caused by decreased force
· Leakage of urine (i.e., overflowincontinence)
· Pushing or straining to begin urination
· Recurrent, sudden, urgent need to urinate

On BPH pateints, urinate problems are common symptoms.

In some of compound cold cure, chlortrimeton is one of the elements. When the nerve which control the urinating excites, the nerve ending secretes acetylcholine. Chlortrimeton destroy the activity of acetylcholin, so the urinate function of the bladder decreases. As a result, the urinate problem aggravates. When BPH patients take cold cure with chlortrimeton in it, their symptoms would aggravate.

So BPH patients should take cold cure with caution.
