1 Tubculosis of epididymis often occur with tuberculosis of the prostate or tuberculosis of the seminal vesicle. Original lesion of tubculosis of epididymis is in the prostate.Tubculosis in the kidney can infect and spread to prostate and seminal vesicle, and infect epididymis.

The pathogen of tubculosis of epididymis is tubercle bacillus. Tubercle bacillus is a rod-shaped aerobic bacterium(Mycobacterium tuberculosis)that causes tuberculosis. Antibiotics can kill reproductive tubercle bacillus. However, for those which do not reproduce, their metabolism cannot be stopped by antibiotics. That's why antibiotics can hardly cure tubculosis of epididymis.
