Causes of female mycoplasma and chlamydia infection

mycoplasma and chlamydia are sexually transmitted diseases. The main causes of mycoplasma and chlamydia include filthy sexual intercourse, poor personal hygiene, using dirty utensils or living goods. Mycoplasma and chlamydia first develop urethra infection, which leads to nongonococcal urethritis. Mycoplasma and chlamydia do great harm to human genitourinary system. Mycoplasma and chlamydia can make urinary and genital organs develop chronic hyperplastic and inflammatory lesions. Bacteria are spread through sexual intercourse into female reproductive tract, causing female urethritis, cervicitis, endometritis, salpingitis, ovaritis, miscarriage, stillbirth and female infertility.

Clinical manisfestations of mycoplasma and chlamydia infection:

Women with the infection of mycoplasma and chlamydia are also first infected through urethra, which develops urethritis. The symptoms are also utethral irritation such as frequency and urgency of urination etc.. The infection of cervix causes cervicitis. And abnormal vaginal discharge with smell is the main symptom. If urethritis and cervicitis which are infected with mycoplasma and chlamydia are not timely cured, the uterus, pelvis and fallopian tube would be also infected with bacteria, leading to endometritis, pelvic inflammatory disease, salpingitis, ovaritis and the patients would have abnormal vaginal discharge, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, miscarriage, stillbirth and even fertility problems. Therefore, cross infection should be avoided. And good health habit should be developed. Dirty sexual contact mustn’t be allowed to prevent the infection of mycoplasma and chlamydia.
