  • My symptoms came back after partial hysterectomy!

Hi Dr. Lee, I had a partial hysterectomy in October 2012, only had my cervix and uterus removed so that my ovaries are the only things left. But last month I started to have all of the same symptoms back which I had before the operation. Severe bell pain, back pain, bloating, insomnia, painful urination and so on. I'm now 26 years old with no kids. It is my personal decision because I had so many surgeries done and there was nothing left other than the hysterectomy. So I want to know if it is worth enough to have ovaries done. Could you give me some advice now or just let me know there are more women at my age experience the same. Thanks for your advice.

  • Don't worry, recurrence is quite common for women who had partial hysterectomy before. Because hormones are part of the reason leading to the development of endometriosis. Complete removal of ovaries can bring side effects for young women, such as progeria, fatigue, tinnitus, headache, insomnia. so I personally don't recommend that. Herbal medicine Fuyan Pill has good effects on treating endometriosis, it works to promote blood circulation for removing stasis, clear away heat and toxic materials, invigorate spleen for treating stranguria. Your endometriosis can be cured naturally without any side effects.
