  • Aggressive and excessive UTI prevention?

I suffer from excessive UTIs that develop to the point where I have blood in my urine over a very short space of time.
I've been prescribed Macrodantin (Nitrofurantoin) each time by the Dr which clears it up quickly but the last time broke me out in severe head-to-toe hives in a drug rash.

So now I'm looking for something I can take or do to prevent the recurrence rather than having to head back to the doctors.

I've tried drinking 500ml of Cranberry juice a day which hasn't worked so was considering taking cranberry capsules but are these safe to take every day over a long period of time?
    Are they effective against UTIs?
Is there a better preventative measure?

  • Best Answer: If you have recurrent UTI, it's best for you to take prompt treatment. If antibiotics won't work on you, that may be caused by drug resistance. I suggest you to take herbal medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill, which is good at killing bacterials, eliminating inflammation, clearing away heat and toxic materials. What's more, it's better than antibiotics is that it won't cause any side effects as drug tolerance or resistance, also won't cause damage to liver or kidney. And cranberry capsule could be good for the UTI treatment, but it cannot cure your disease completely.
