As I know that the irregular menses is a side effect of taking birth control pills. Taking birth control pills can affect the hormones of you and affect the period of you. Do you have any diseases that can affect your period such as endometriosis, adenomyosis and so on? If you don't have, the most possible reason would be taking birth control pills.
In your case, I recommend you replace the birth control pills with condoms. 6 months later, If you still have irregular menses, you might need to see doctors and taking a diagnosis.
