    sufferer: guest gender: female
    age: 20 marriage: no
    Begining date: november 2014
Disease detail: Cannot find cause of constant pelvic pain/ or lower abdominal pain. The pain is inbetween my hips and spreads to my lower back and also my legs ache too. The pain gets much worse when I sit down for long periods of time or even short ones. The pain came out of nowhere in November 2014 and hasnt left since. It is there every second of the day.

The pain started off after my period and felt like aching period pain. I thought it would go but it didnt. Then I went to the STD clinic to test for sexually transmitted diseases and everything came back clear. No diseases (tested for chamydia, ghonorrea, shypillis and HIV (I have had this test many times.

Next I got urine and blood tests which never showed any problems. I have also had MRI and Ultrasound which also did not show anything apart from my left ovary was a bit bigger than the other. Everytime I had an ultrasound intravaginal ultrasound I could feel pain which went all the way up to my lower abdomen, around the region where my womb/ ovaries are.

The doctors in the UK would not help me anymore, so in April 2015 I went to Austria where they preformed a laparoscopy and found some pelvic adhesions. They said there was 'no sign' of an infection. They did not know what caused the adhesions and guessed maybe it is a past infection. They removed the adhesions also during the operation. For 3 weeks after the operation my pain was gone and i felt so much better. the pain went from feeling like a 7/10 everyday to maybe a 1/10. I was so happy and thought the problem was solved.

However the pain started to come back slowly over one week. and after my last period in may the pain is now completely back and feels even worse than before. I dont know who else to turn to for help and diagnosis and I am so desperate as it is really ruining my life in everyday. I have become very depressed and cry all the time. I feel like I will be in pain forever with no answers.

Also, the catheter used in the laparoscopy gave me a bladder infection and even though I was treated (4 weeks later) the bladder infection has still not gone. Do you think this may have contributed to the pain coming back? I still have it now.

some more details about my pelvic pain: some times it feels burning/ hot around the pelvic region (area in between my hips) also pulsating pain. sometimes feels like there is something inside there like a knife wedged in there.

Do you think I might still have a pelvic infection? or do you think the pain is simply caused by my adhesions growing back.

medical history: Have never really had any other medical problems apart from this one

NO previous STDs ever - have never tested positive for STD
NO previous urine infection (untill the one after the operation)

was not advised of any surgery aftercare.

    I am a smoker: 4- 7 a day
i do not drink/ take any drugs

am not on any medication at the moment. pain medication does not work/ makes it worse
previous diagnosis and result: initially treated for potential PID with: docycline and metronidazole for 14 days. Did not stop pain.
gynocologist in austria was concerned about how one ovary was bigger than the other in an ultrasound so gave me metronidazole for 5 days which i refused because I have already used it for 2 weeks and it didnt work. she then gave me penicilin which also did nothing.

diagnosed with: pelvic adhesions (removed adhesions in april) but now pain has come back

Still do not have any idea as to what caused my infection. Please any suggestions

  • Dear friend, I have read your questions and the details you provided carefully. Generally speaking, the Pelvic disease is hard to be diagnosed and have one patient who have the PID was told have no problems at the beginning. Here is one page about what kind of test you can take to diagnose the PID: http://www.drleetcmclinic.com/Health_Conditions/44.html.

As for the pelvic adhesion and your works about the gone of symptoms after surgery, I think your symptoms possibly is caused by your pelvic adhesion. But you also mentioned that you have bladder infection after surgery and the symptoms come back several days later. I think your condition isn't cured by the surgery and you also have postoperative infection. And I am quite sure that postoperative infection C bladder infection is the reason of the recurrent symptoms. And maybe you have your adhesion recur again. And I am sure that you must have infection in your pelvic cavity after the surgery. Therefore, you not only have to relieve the pelvic adhesion but also have to cure the bladder infection.

Your condition is curable but it is a little complicated. You have to take two different kind of herbal medicines (I recommend you herbal medicine, not only because the effect of herbal medicine is excellent, but also because antibiotics work nothing on you and you have resistance to antibiotics). Since you have bladder infection, I recommend you to take the diuretic and anti-inflammatory pill at first, you may need to take one to two months of this herbal medicine. And after finishing your diuretic and anti-inflammatory pills, you can take the Fuyan pill, it also is a herbal medicine, It can cure the adhesion for you, including clearing the infection for you. And I am sure that your problems and diseases can be solved by the two herbal medicines radically.

As for the one ovary was bigger than the other one, I am curious with that too, it is better for you to take some test to see is there any lesion on the ovary. If there is no, there is no need to worry about it, but if there is, I think you may have fibroids.
